About

Senior engineer and tech lead. 8+ years of shipping software, five of them at Ninja Van growing from founding engineer to Engineering Manager.

At Ninja Van I joined as one of two engineers on a new internal tools team and grew into Engineering Manager of the platforms team: 5–7 engineers across Singapore and India. I led the team's technical decisions, worked with product, business, and our CTO on what to build, and mentored three engineers into senior roles. I also started a company-wide frontend standards initiative that grew into its own design system team.

We owned the chat and notification systems that handle hundreds of millions of events a day. I still shipped code every sprint, and together we cut notification costs by over 60% and tripled Kafka throughput at peak.

More recently I led a frontend team of four across Southeast Asia at an AI startup, and built an on-prem computer vision platform for a freelance client.

Before that: 5G R&D at Nokia, software in Melbourne, and leading a drone data platform in Singapore.
